It seems like every day there is a new report of a Katy ISD bus driver crashing into something. Just this morning, on the 22700 block of Kingsland Boulevard at Pickford Drive, four people were injured in a crash. This is just the latest in a long line of accidents involving these buses. Our firm is currently investigating a case where a minor child was hit and seriously injured by a Katy ISD bus on March 3, 2022 while riding his bike home from school. We are hopeful that this increased attention will help to get these buses off the road before anyone else gets hurt. We plan to hold Katy ISD responsible for the injuries sustained by our client and are investigating all similar bus accidents within recent years.
It is frankly astounding that these bus drivers have not been held more accountable for their actions. In just the past few weeks, we have seen two serious accidents involving Katy ISD buses. And this is only a small fraction of the total number of accidents that have occurred in recent years. Something needs to change and it needs to change now. Our firm is committed to fighting for the safety of all those who use our roads, and we will not back down until justice is served. If you or someone you know has been injured in a bus accident involving Katy ISD, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to help you get the compensation you deserve.
How Much Compensation Will I Get for a Bus Accident?
If you were hurt in a bus accident caused by the carelessness of another person, you may be able to seek compensation in a personal injury insurance claim or lawsuit. The amount of money you might get for your bus accident claim is determined by who was at fault and what kind of damage you sustained as a result.
Damages might include things like medical expenses, missed income, and more. A lawyer can assist you in determining your losses and value if you choose to work with one. A lawyer can also assist you in gathering evidence of the responsible party’s responsibility, collecting personal injury claims or insurance claims, and managing your case.
